E-VISA
German citizens are also entitled to apply for a so-called E-Visa (electronic visa) online. It is possible for tourists, Business travellers (casual business), conferences and medical treatments.

Tourist visas are valid for either 30 days for two entries, one year or 5 years for multiple entries. Business visas are valid from the date of issue for one year and multiple entries, visas for medical purposes are valid for 60 days from the date of entry and for a maximum of three entries.
An E-Visa must be applied online in advance (maximum 120 days but no later than 4 days prior to planned entry) and is only valid for entry via one of the following airports and seaports:

E-visas cannot be renewed or modified and not be retroactively converted into another visa category.
The passport must be valid for at least 6 months upon arrival. Temporary passports and children's passports are not eligible for E-visa applications.

OUTSOURCING
As the visa departments of the Indian consulates need to be outsourced to IGCS/IVS, an additional service fee per visa must be paid to IGCS/IVS. SERVISUM will charge this fee to you.
