All travelers must fill out an Arrival Card online no earlier than 3 days before entry (not earlier, including the day of entry!).
German citizens are entitled to apply online for a so-called eVisa (electronic visa) as tourists, business travelers (casual business) and for medical treatment. Information on this can be found under “eVisa”.
Regular paper visas only need to be applied for in certain cases, e.g. for business purposes for fitters and technicians in certain facilities, or for tourists entering the country by land or for a stay of more than 90 days.

German citizens are entitled to apply online for an e-visa (electronic visa) as tourists, business travelers (casual business) and for medical treatment.
Tourist visas are valid for either 30 days for two entries, one year or five years for multiple entries, each starting from the date of issue.
Business visas are valid for one year and multiple entries starting from the date of issue, and visas for medical purposes are valid for 60 days and for a maximum of three entries starting from the date of entry.
An eVisa must be applied for online in advance (maximum 120 days but no later than 4 days before the planned entry) and is only valid when entering the country via one of the following airports and seaports:

Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Bhubaneshwar, Calicut, Chennai, Chandigarh, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Gaya, Goa (Dabolim), Goa (Mopa), Gu wahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kannur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Port Blair, Pune, Tiruchirapalli, Trivandrum, Varanasi & Visakhapatnam
Seaports
Chennai, Cochin, Goa, Mangalore, Mumbai
eVisa cannot be extended or modified. An eVisa cannot be converted into any other visa category. You can travel to India with a new passport and the still valid visa that is registered in the old passport. The requirement is that you travel with both passports and that the visa is not damaged or invalid.
The passport must be valid for at least 6 months upon entry. Provisional passports and children's passports are not accepted for the application of eVisa.
Cruise travelers should inquire with the responsible shipping company in advance whether eVisa is accepted.

The Arrival Card is free of charge
+ €40.00 (SERVISUM fee, plus VAT)
plus administration fee (€4.50, incl. VAT, per order)
Please note: If the application falls on a weekend, a surcharge of €20.00 plus VAT will be applied.
If you commission us to obtain the visa and Arrival Card, we will only charge a SERVISUM fee of €20.00 plus VAT for the Arrival Card.
