Please note:

Only originals will be legalized. Copies are not permitted.

  • The Jordanian recipient address must be indicated on all documents.
  • All commercial documents, such as certificates of origin, commercial invoices and packing lists, must be pre-certified by the relevant Chamber of Commerce. For materials that do not come from the country of manufacture, their country of origin must be indicated.
  • Commercial invoices and certificates of origin must be submitted always together. The legalization of only one of these documents is excluded.
  • Commercial invoices may not include any explanations, warranties or balance sheets. These must be submitted separately, and fees will be charged.
  • Commercial invoices and certificates of origin for food products must always be accompanied by a health certificate issued by the relevant authorities.
  • The following certificates are only legalized if they are issued by the respective Ministry of Health of the respective federal state: health certificates, certificates of non-radioactivity, certificates of non-radiation, BSE certificates, dioxin certificates, veterinary certificates, laboratory certificates, certificates of food products and manufacturer's declarations for medicines.
  • Powers of attorney (POA) for companies or lawyers in Jordan must include the full details of both parties. They must be certified in advance by a notary, translated by a sworn translator into English or Arabic and pre-certified by the competent district court. Furthermore, it must be clear that the power of attorney, etc. is granted exclusively for use in Jordan.
  • All documents, except for commercial invoices, certificates of origin and packing lists, must be pre-certified by the Federal Office for Foreign Affairs (BfAA). SERVISUM will be happy to do this for you.
  • Due to the gradual digitalization of the application process for pre-certification at the BfAA, we kindly ask you to send the document to be legalized in advance, completely scanned, by email to SERVISUM.

All trade documents must be pre-certified by GHORFA.

Processing time (without guarantee):
will be communicated by the embassy when the documents are submitted
plus 1-3 working days processing time for GHORFA and, if applicable, approx. 2-3 weeks for the BfAA.
