German citizens are entitled to apply for a so-called eVisa (electronic visa).
However, entry with an eVisa is only possible via a limited number of border crossings and only for tourists. All travelers must complete an e-Immigration Card 3 days prior to arrival (arrival day included) AND departure if arriving via any of the following entry points: Wattay International Airport, Luang Prabang International Airport, Pakse International Airport, or Friendship Bridge I. - Lao - Thai Friendship Bridge II (Savannakhet Province)
- Lao - Thai Friendship Bridge I (Vientiane Capital)
- Boten International Checkpoint (Luang Namtha Province)
- Lao - Thai Friendship Bridge IV (Bokeo Province)
- Boten Railway Station (Luang Namtha Province)
- Khamsavath Railway Station (Vientiane Capital)
eVisas for Laos are valid for 60 days from the date of issue and allow for a single entry.

- Scan of your passport (JPG)
color, first double page with personal data - “Selfie” of the traveler holding their open passport (JPG)
- Scan of the valid visa (JPG)

Fees per person:
The e-Immigration Card is free of charge
+ €40.00 Arrival (SERVISUM fee, plus VAT)
+ €20.00 Departure (SERVISUM fee, plus VAT)
plus administration fee (€4.50, incl. VAT, per order)
Please note: If the application falls on a weekend, a surcharge of €20.00 plus VAT will be applied.
If you commission us to obtain the visa and e-Immigration Card (Arrival and Departure), we will only charge a SERVISUM fee of €30.00 plus VAT for the Immigration Card.
