Visa Applications / Entry Requirements: Burkina Faso

German and other nationalities are entitled to apply for a so-called eVisa (electronic visa).

The visa is valid for up to 90 days for multiple entries.

However, we do NOT recommend applying for an eVisa, as the process of issuing them is very slow or does not happen at all. Please send us the original documents for regular paper visas. The visa will then be issued electronically (by email) by the embassy.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL REGULAR PAPER VISAS

• Visa application (2x)
  in duplicate, see right
• original passport,
  must be valid for at least 6 months after the end of the trip
• two original passport photos,
  biometric, photo requirements
• Yellow fever vaccination
  Proof of vaccination, e.g. copy of vaccination certificate
• Proof of accommodation
  e.g. hotel reservation
• Proof of entry and exit
  e.g. flight reservation
• health insurance for foreign countries
• Non-German applicants: current certificate of registration (if EU citizen) or a copy of the residence permit for Germany (if not an EU citizen)

• Invitation letter
  from the company in Burkina Faso (in colour!)
• Secondment letter
  from the employer in Germany (sample)
