It's recommended to send your documents to Berlin. Optional you can choose between one of our other SERVISUM offices:

Bayern, Baden-Württemberg, Hessen, Saarland, Rheinland-Pfalz, Nordrhein-Westfalen


German and other citizens are visa-free for a stay of up to 15 days (if the passport is still valid for at least 6 months and there are at least 30 days between the last departure and the next entry).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL VISA CATEGORIES

  • current residence registration (Meldebescheinigung) (if EU citizen) or

      CRUISES: All passengers who require a visa will be issued with a visa upon arrival on board of the ship. The fee for this is approx. 28 USD. Please contact the vessel company of the ship for more information.
      Citizens from Bahrain, India, Israel, Lebanon, North Korea, Panama, Sri Lanka and Turkey are requested to obtain a visa for Vietnam before travelling.

PLEASE NOTE:

Tourist visas are only possible up to a maximum of 1 month single/multi, multiple entries for a longer period are only possible with the Approval Code of the organizer.

E-VISA


German citizens are also entitled to apply for a so-called E-Visa (electronic visa) online.

An application with a temporary passport is not possible. 
The E-Visa is only valid when entering Vietnam at selected entry points: click here

E-Visa for Vietnam allows for a single entry with a stay up to 30 days. It should be applied for at least 2 weeks before the planned date of departure.
