Place of residence in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria: When completing the application, please select Munich as the application location and send the documents to Berlin.
Place of residence in Bremen, Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Schleswig-Holstein: When completing the application, please select Hamburg as the application location and send the documents to Berlin.
Place of residence in Hessen, Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate, North Rhine-Westphalia: When completing the application, please select Frankfurt as the application location and send the documents to Berlin.
Please note that from 1 August 2025, we will charge a surcharge of € 50.00 net per visa on top of the service fee for orders that have to be processed by the relevant consulates in Frankfurt, Hamburg or Munich.
German citizens and citizens of other countries do not require a visa to enter the country for tourist or business trips of up to 90 days. However, they must complete an online arrival card at least 3 days before entering the country.
The following nationalities can apply for an eVisa (electronic visa): Bahrain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Burkina Faso, Dominica, Ecuador, Qatar, Colombia, Kosovo, Kuwait, Mauritius, Montenegro, Oman, Panama, Peru, Saudi Arabia, Solomon Islands, Turkey and United Arab Emirates. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL VISA CATEGORIES
- Visa application
- to be completed online at https://visawebapp.boca.gov.tw
- Original passport
- must be valid for at least another 6 months after the end of the trip
- Two original passport photos
- biometric, photo requirements
- Proof of entry and exit
- e.g. flight booking
- Non-German applicants: current certificate of residence (if EU citizen) or copy of residence permit for Germany (if not an EU citizen)
Additional requirements for TOURIST VISAS
- Hotel booking
- Proof of financial means
- e.g. salary statement or bank statement
Additional requirements for BUSINESS VISAS
- Letter of invitation
- from the company in Taiwan
- Secondment letter
- from the employer in Germany (sample)

eVisa
