German citizens and other nationalities are entitled to apply online for a so-called eVisa (electronic visa). You can find more information about this under “eVisa”.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL REGULAR VISAS
- Visa application (2x)
in duplicate, see right - Original passport
original, must be valid for at least 6 months after the end of the trip - two original passport photos,
biometric, photo requirements - Yellow fever vaccination
Proof of vaccination, e.g. copy of vaccination certificate - Non-German applicants: current registration certificate (if EU citizen) or copy of residence permit for Germany (if not an EU citizen)
Additional requirements for TOURIST VISAS
- Hotel booking
- Proof of entry and exit
e.g. flight reservation
Additional requirements for BUSINESS VISAS
- Secondment letter
from the employer in Germany (sample) - Invitation letter
from the company in Sierra Leone

eVisa
Germans and other nationalities are entitled to apply online for a so-called e-visa (electronic visa).
This can be applied for as a single entry with a validity of 3 months or multiple entries with a validity of 1 year. The maximum duration of stay for all visas is 30 days.
