Visa application / entry requirements: Iraq

NEW: For a stay of up to 60 days a visa on arrival is possible for German citizens. For the entry into the Kurdistan Region, however, a visa must be applied for in advance (e.g. e-visa via https://visit.gov.krd/) is required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL VISA CATEGORIES

• visa application form (2x)
  twice, see on the right
  Applications must be filled out on a PC, handwritten additions are not accepted.
  
  
• passport
  original, at least valid for 6 months after journey
  
  
• two passport pictures
  original, biometric, photo requirements
  
  
• proof of entry and exit
  e.g. flilght reservation
  
  
• proof of foreign health insurance
  
  
• medical certificate of nonobjection
  with HIV test
  
  non-German applicants: 
• current residence registration (Meldebescheinigung) (if EU citizen) or
• valid residence permit for Germany (if not EU citizen)
