Consular regulations: Qatar

Please note:

• The recipient's address in Qatar must be indicated on all documents.
• Commercial invoices and certificates of origin can only be legalized together.
• Certificates of origin must not have any attachments.
• All commercial documents, such as certificates of origin, commercial invoices and packing lists, must be pre-certified by the relevant Chamber of Industry and Commerce. If materials are used that do not originate from the country of manufacture, their country of origin must be indicated.
• Health certificates, fitness certificates and food certificates must be pre-certified by the relevant health or veterinary office.
• Health certificates, manufacturer declarations and shipping documents require certificates of origin and commercial invoices for processing.
• Documentary evidence, such as agency agreements, manufacturer confirmations and powers of attorney, must be pre-certified by a notary and the district court.
• Private documents and contracts, powers of attorney, assignments and all types of certificates must be finally certified by the Federal Office for Foreign Affairs (BfAA). SERVISUM will be happy to take care of this for you.
• Due to the gradual digitalization of the application process for pre-certification at the BfAA, we kindly ask you to send the document to be legalized in advance by email to SERVISUM, completely scanned.
• Commercial register extracts are pre-certified at the district court and patent applications at the patent office.

Please submit two copies of each document to remain at the embassy. All commercial documents must be pre-certified by GHORFA. SERVISUM will be happy to do this for you.
