Consular regulations: Hong Kong (People's Republic of China)

China (People's Republic) is a member state of the “Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents” (Hague Convention). Therefore, the certification of the authenticity of a public document by an apostille exempts it from legalization by the embassy.

This also applies in the Chinese special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macau.
