Responsibilities

Please note:
- all documents must be certified in advance by the local notary and the competent district court.
- The respective presidents of the regional or local courts are responsible for the preliminary certification of judicial and notarial deeds;
- Documents from administrative authorities (e.g. personal status documents, registration certificates, etc.) must be pre-certified by the respective district president (district administrations, district governments, state interior ministries, internal affairs authorities, senate administrations, supervisory and service directorates and LABO in Berlin).
- Commercial documents must be pre-certified by the relevant Chamber of Commerce
- Police clearance certificates must be pre-certified by the Federal Public Prosecutor General and the Federal Central Criminal Register.
Please submit one copy of each document to the Embassy.
Processing time (without guarantee):
will be requested at the Embassy when the documents are submitted.
