- 05.01.2026 CHINA: The requirement to provide fingerprints when applying for multiple-entry visas, which was previously necessary, is no longer applicable with immediate effect until 31.12.2026.
- 30.11.2025 CHINA: Visa exemption for certain nationalities extended until 31.12.2026.
- From 20.11.2025 CHINA: all travellers can now fill out the Arrival Card online 10 days before entry.
- From October 2025 INDIA: all travellers must apply for a Digital Arrival Card online 3 days before entry.
- From 01.05.2025 - THAILAND: all travelers must apply online for a Digital Arrival Card 72 hours before entering the (except transit travelers).
- Since 02.04.2025 – UK: Application for an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is mandatory for German and other EU citizens.
- Since 01.04.2025 NAMIBIA: German tourists require an e-visa on arrival to enter Namibia
- Since 01.2025 – CUBA: Application for an e-visa replaces the need for a tourist card.
- Since 01.2025 – ISRAEL: Application for an electronic entry permit is mandatory for visa-free travelers.
