German citizens do not need a visa  for tourism and business (commercial) purposes. They can travel with a tourist card, which is handed out on the plane.

Citizens of Australia, Canada, Japan or the USA can apply for an E-Visa here.

For people who will work in Brazil (e.g. technicians, fitters, etc.), an application for a work permit must be submitted by the inviting Brazilian company to the authority "Coordenação Geral de Imigração do Ministério de Trabalho" (Coordination Office for Immigration Issues in the Brazilian Ministry of Labour).

Only after the work permit has been issued the consular Mission will be authorized to issue the relevant visa.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR TECHNICAL OPERATIONS (assembly work)

  • visa application form
    fill in online via https://formulario-mre.serpro.gov.br/sci/pages/web/pacomPasesWebInicial.jsf (click on the button in the middle) upload all the necessary documents as well as passport, photo and signature of the applicant

  • passport
    in original,at least valid for 6 months after journey

  • passport picture
    upload in online application form, biometric, photo requirements

  • work permit
    like mentioned above

  • certificate of conduct
    in original, not older than 3 months

  • birth certificate
    possibly translated, for german nationals a copy is sufficient
    all other nationalities > original, certified with Hague Apostille and additionally one ordinary copy

  • extended residence registration (erweiterte Meldebescheinigung)
    in original, not older than 3 months

  • COVID-19: health declaration

    non-German applicants
  • valid residence permit for Germany (if not EU citizen)

    Depending on the nationality of the applicant, further documentation may be required.

PLEASE NOTE:

Before submitting the application, you must register via the e-Consular portal (https://ec-berlim.itamaraty.gov.br/) and upload the documents. Once you receive confirmation, the original documents can then be submitted.

Please note the above-mentioned responsibility regulation.

The embassy in BERLIN requires the personal appearance of the traveler when handing in the documents. SERVISUM Berlin will gladly take care of the collection of the passport with your visa with a letter of authorization.

The consulate in FRANKFURT does NOT require personal appearance. SERVISUM Frankfurt will take care of the entire processing as usual.
