Every applicant who needs a visa for Nigeria for the first time has to apply for it in person.

Since 6 May 2019, visa applications can no longer be submitted directly through the Embassy. All citizen who require their first nigerian visa must contact the Visa Application Center (VFS Global) and schedule an appointment to submit an application. (see)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL VISA CATEGORIES
- REGULAR APPLICATION THROUGH EMBASSY -

  • visa application form 
    filled in online via https://visa.immigration.gov.ng/

  • payment confirmation
    of the paid visa fee

  • passport
    original, at least valid for 6 months after the journey

    NEW
  • letter of authorization
    to a SERVISUM staff member, use this form
  • two passport pictures
    original, biometric, photo requirements

  • yellow fever vaccination
    e.g. copy of vaccination certificate

  • proof of entry and exit
    e.g. flight ticket

  • hotel reservation

  • financial statement 
    payslip of the last 3 months or current bank statement

FOR TOURIST VISA

    from a Nigerian host with a copy of their ID card or passport
